Yakut Fuel and Energy Company holds licenses for eight subsoil areas for geological surveys, exploration and production of mineral resources.

Currently, exploration is performed at the Tolonsky and Tymtaidakhsky areas. Tolonsky area is at the completion of exploration, drilling of an exploration well is scheduled for 2021. Tymtaidakhsky area goes through the stage of exploration and appraisal, seismic surveys by the CDP 2D method in the scope of 687 line km and drilling of one exploration well are planned for 2021

To increase hydrocarbons reserves and expand resources further, YATEC participates in auctions and tenders of Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency (Rosnedra) and Subsoil Resources Department in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutnedra).

Key task of YATEC is to ensure seamless gas supplies to all the central region of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and growth of hydrocarbon reserves, and an exploration program aimed to increase the resources of the Company to 1 tcm was adopted for 2021-2025 within the development strategy.
